Pandemic will no More be Liberated on the Epic Game Store a week

Last week Asmodee Digital supported three of its own digital board games will hit the Epic Games Store on February 20: Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne and Pandemic. In the lead up to this datebetween February 6 and 13–all three of these are available to download at no cost, in keeping with Epic’s custom of giving away stuff.
But that is no longer true with Pandemic. In a statement, Epic Games has verified that Pandemic will no more be free during this period. “We have altered the launch of Pandemic as a free match in our shop program to another date,” the announcement reads. “Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne will continue to be accessible as the free matches of this week from February 6 – February 13.”
**Meanwhile, the Pandemic game webpage to the Epic Games Store has either been removed or is down, while the webpage such as Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne remain undamaged. Pandemic stays on Steam.
No reason is provided for the Pandemic no-show, even though it’s easy to assume that it is because of sensitivities arising from the coronavirus crisis. In accordance with Al Jazeerathe current death toll is 425. A swathe of gambling related cancellations are attributed to it, like the Taipei Game Show and China-based Overwatch League matches.
And if it was not clear from the name, Pandemic is a sport about ”four lethal diseases spreading around the globe”, and it is the players task to include them.
